Van and Ngun have been in the sushi business for 20 years and thought it was time to open their own restaurant.
They used to make sushi inside the Fresh Market across the street from VSC until it was closed in 2018. For the love of sushi and customers in the area, they opened Van's Sushi Cafe in July 2020.

We believe that every sushi should be fresh and affordable. The Japanese word "sushi" means "sour rice," and from the taste of the rice to the amount of vinegar, it has to be perfect. Perfection and consistency come only with experience, and our family makes it our priority to offer that to every sushi roll.

Our store is a family-owned small business. Our family wants to serve the best sushi for the community around us. We treat our customers like family and want to share the best sushi with you. Dining can take more time and cost, and by making our store more take-out friendly, we are still able to provide quality sushi at a faster pace.
